    The Early Childhood Education Certificate Program is an online self study program made up of 4 courses developed for those general education teachers as well as those working in Head Start or Early Intervention programs.

    This Certificate program is approved for 12 graduate level professional development credits through Brandman University. Credit will be given for the practicum if the fieldwork can be verified.

    As a candidate moves through the program these competencies are presented then tested. The program ensures a solid foundation in the understanding and application of the specific support and teaching strategies for children (birth to pre K) with developmental delays, specific learning disabilities, traumatic brain injury, other health impairments, autism spectrum disorders, mild, moderate and severe mental retardation, emotional disturbances, low incidence and multiple disabilities.

    Equivalent to 180 hours of classroom time; 12 semester hours available through Brandman University’s Extended Education Department
